Beaches Fine Market Grill is a family owned and operated business.  Tom & Dale Friedli realized their lifelong dream when they opened Beaches in February of 2010. Having lived in Barrie with their three boys for the past ten years, they are both very familiar with the local restaurant scene and when the opportunity presented itself to open their own restaurant in a prime location in the city, they jumped at the chance.  Tom began his hospitality career in Switzerland in the late 80's, training and working in some of the country's finest hotels before returning to Canada to take on various management positions with Holiday Inn and a large resort north of Toronto.  From 2003 on he successfully led several locations of a national restaurant chain, consistently placing among the top 10 restaurants in the chain.  Dale's culinary skills were nurtured at a young age, growing up in Montreal where her mother trained under some of the best chef's in the country, passing much of her knowledge on to Dale.  She focused on raising her family throughout the 90's before returning to the industry in a management position at the local horse racetrack. 

Situated beside the old Allandale train station (soon to be the new Allandale Waterfront GO station), Beaches Fine Market Grill is Barrie's premier WATERFRONT casual dining restaurant.  Located in an old Victorian style house, Beaches unique layout on two floors, a bar on the first floor and patios on both levels allows our guests to enjoy either a casual drink with friends or a decadent dining experience.  The second floor dining room lends itself perfectly for private or corporate events, seating up to 80 persons in a banquet setting.  Beaches Fine Market Grill offers a spectacular view of Kempenfelt Bay with a bright, casual atmosphere to let you enjoy a unique dining experience!
